Softball Recap: Grimsley Comes Up Short

Grimsley extended their losing streak to seven on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 4-12 in the process. They lost 19-6 to the Ragsdale Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 back in March.

As for Ragsdale, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

For Ragsdale's part, the team relied heavily on Alexis Gray, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Hattie Hitchcock was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs.

Grimsley has already played their next contest (against Page), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Ragsdale, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-0 defeat against Northwest Guilford on the 21st.
