Recap: Rockwall-Heath Hawks vs. Royse City Bulldogs
The Rockwall-Heath Hawks lost against the Royse City Bulldogs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Rockwall-Heath fell just short of Royse City by a score of 55-53. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Rockwall-Heath came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Royse City is ranked 446th).
Rockwall-Heath's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaiden Adams, who scored 16 points along with three steals, and Cooper Smith who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. The game was Smith's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarger Barron, who scored three points along with three steals.
Rockwall-Heath's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Royse City, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
Rockwall-Heath will be playing in front of their home fans against North Forney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Forney is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Royse City, they will head out on the road to face off against Horn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
