The Platt RVT Panthers will square off against the Wolcott RVT Wildcats at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Platt RVT is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Daniel Mazzetti made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jason Miller, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Robbie Nellson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Wolcott RVT's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Platt RVT, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Platt RVT has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Wolcott RVT struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
