Volleyball Recap: Bedford Comes Up Short

Bedford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Burlington Red Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buccaneers of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-13, 25-12.

Burlington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lexie Carmody, who had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Carmody has posted since back in September. Sia Ganapathy also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Bedford's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Burlington, their record now sits at 13-4.

Coming up, Bedford will face off against Acton-Boxborough at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burlington, they will take on Melrose at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
