Softball Game Preview: La Grande Tigers vs. Pendleton Buckaroos

The La Grande Tigers will challenge the Pendleton Buckaroos at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. La Grande will be strutting in after a win while Pendleton will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when La Grande challenged Union/Cove on Wednesday. The Tigers skirted past the Bobcats 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

The team relied heavily on Maddie Seavert, who fired off two home runs and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaetlyn Snyder, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Pendleton came up short against Vale on Tuesday and fell 5-2.

The victory got La Grande back to even at 4-4. As for Pendleton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

La Grande couldn't quite finish off Pendleton in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 and fell 6-4. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
