Softball Recap: Bunnell Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Bunnell had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Stamford Black Knights by a score of 6-5. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Bunnell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shea Toth, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Another was Kira Bryant, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

The victory got Stamford back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Bunnell will square off against McMahon at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Stamford, they are taking a road trip to take on Fitch at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
