Soccer Recap: Lincoln-Way West's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Lincoln-Way West lost against Lockport back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Porters. While losing is never fun, Lincoln-Way West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Lockport are ranked 16th).

Lincoln-Way West's defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6-1. As for Lockport, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2-2.

Coming up, Lincoln-Way West will square off against Minooka at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Minooka's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Lockport, they will challenge Lincoln-Way Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
