Volleyball Recap: Bellflower Has No Trouble Against Dominguez

Bellflower barely beat Dominguez the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Buccaneers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Dons on Thursday. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Dons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-20.

Natasha DeVaul paced Bellflower's offense, picking up eight kills. DeVaul got some help from Valerie Rivas and her 15 assists. Pearl Madrigal controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Bellflower's win bumped their record up to 4-22. As for Dominguez, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bellflower is set to square off against their familiar foe Lynwood at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dominguez will challenge rival Gahr at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
