Volleyball Game Preview: Celina Bobcats vs. Sanger Indians

Celina is a perfect 10-0 against Sanger since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bobcats will look to defend their home court against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Sanger will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Celina extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Bobcats came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Van Alstyne. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bobcats have posted since August 30th.

Celina was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-12, 23-25, 25-22, 16-14.

Celina relied on the efforts of Addilyn Paulson, who had 22 digs and four assists, and Sonny Hoya, who had 19 digs. Those 19 digs gave Hoya a new career-high.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sanger, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Richland 3-2 on Friday.

Celina's win bumped their record up to 15-23. As for Sanger, their victory bumped their record up to 22-16.

Celina took their win against Sanger in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
