Soccer Game Preview: Riverheads vs. Staunton

Riverheads is 0-10 against Staunton since May of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Gladiators will host the Storm at 7:00 p.m. Riverheads has given up an average of 5.8 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Riverheads came up short against Alleghany and fell 5-3.

Meanwhile, Staunton had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.6 goals) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Tuesday. They never let the Hornets get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Considering Staunton have won 13 matches by more than four goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Riverheads' defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Staunton, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.
