Volleyball Recap: Guerin Catholic Takes a Loss

Guerin Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Illiana Christian Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Eagles of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Guerin Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Illiana Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Guerin Catholic will look to defend their home court on Monday against Westfield at 7:00 p.m. As for Illiana Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Timothy Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
