Garden Grove had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Valencia Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-2 last Tuesday.

Garden Grove pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.75 runs across that stretch. As for Valencia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
