Baseball Recap: North Smithfield Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for North Smithfield's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights on Tuesday. The Northmen haven't had much luck with the Scarlet Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

North Smithfield now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Exeter-West Greenwich, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

North Smithfield will venture away from home to square off against Hope at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Wave will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Northmen surely won't give up without a fight. As for Exeter-West Greenwich, they will welcome Paul Cuffee at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Exeter-West Greenwich is facing Paul Cuffee at the right time seeing as Paul Cuffee is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
