After a string of seven wins, Academy of the Sacred Heart's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Newman Greenies. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Greenies earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Academy of the Sacred Heart's loss dropped their record down to 25-7. As for Newman, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-9.

Academy of the Sacred Heart wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Archbishop Hannan on the 27th. As for Newman, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against John Curtis Christian on the 25th.
