Basketball Recap: Calvary Baptist Beats Norton Science & Language Academy for Their Eighth Straight Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Calvary Baptist). They really took it to the Norton Science & Language Academy Rockets for the full four quarters, racking up a 92-27 victory. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season.

Calvary Baptist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Akol Machol led the charge by as he made all 8 shots he took racking up 16 points along with six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Martin Malual, who went 8 of 11 en route to 18 points and three steals.

Despite the defeat, Norton Science & Language Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Armani Roman-Walker posted nine points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ayden Alba, who had five points.
