Basketball Recap: Langtree Charter Academy Takes a Loss

Langtree Charter Academy managed to keep up with Mountain Island Charter until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Langtree Charter Academy Lions came up short against the Mountain Island Charter Raptors, falling 60-40. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Raptors: they've now lost three in a row.

Mountain Island Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reagan Hart led the charge by putting up 12 points. Hannah Washington also deserves some recognition as she pulled down her first rebound of the season.

Langtree Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Mountain Island Charter, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-6.

Langtree Charter Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-28 defeat against Community School of Davidson on the 17th. Mountain Island Charter has also already played their next contest, a 41-25 victory against Bradford Prep on the 17th.
