McKeesport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 16-9 to the Kiski Area Cavaliers. Even though they lost, the Tigers' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.6 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
McKeesport got a massive performance out of Jessica Miller, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Miller also launched a home run, marking her first of the season. Esiah Harper was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
McKeesport's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Kiski Area, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
Coming up, McKeesport will head out on the road to face off against Penn-Trafford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kiski Area, they will challenge Penn Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.33 runs per game on average), something the Cavaliers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
