Basketball Recap: Laquey Comes Up Short

Laquey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 31-29 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gainesville Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Hornets have suffered since December 21, 2024.

Laquey's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Gainesville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Laquey has already played their next match, a 57-26 defeat against Richland on the 3rd. As for Gainesville, they will challenge Fordland at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
