Volleyball Recap: Hellgate Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hellgate had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Helena Bengals as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win back in October.

Hellgate found their leader in sophomore Ellison Hogan, who had 15 digs and two assists. Hogan is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Hellgate is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Helena, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.

Hellgate wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Russell on the 13th. Helena does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
