The Ridgevue Warhawks will face off against the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Ridgevue barely beat Capital the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warhawks put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 9-1 victory on Friday. The Warhawks haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Chance Schreiber was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Logan Hirasaki, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain faced Ridgevue in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Grizzlies' pitchers stepped up to hand the Warhawks a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Lincoln Mathis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Rocky Mountain got a big performance out of Trenton Forstrom, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Aiden Henzler was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Rocky Mountain hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive games.
Rocky Mountain's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Ridgevue, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Ridgevue has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Rocky Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Ridgevue suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Rocky Mountain when the teams last played on Thursday. Can the Warhawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
