After a string of six wins, Clear Creek-Amana's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 61-53 to the Prairie Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Clippers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Hawks are ranked fourth).

Clear Creek-Amana's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6. As for Prairie, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clear Creek-Amana will venture away from home to face off against Vinton-Shellsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prairie, they will face off against Decorah-North Winneshiek on Saturday.
