Volleyball Recap: Alexander's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Alexander waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the River Valley Raiders as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 2nd.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-15, 25-17.

Alexander's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abbi Ohms, who had 14 digs and four assists. Ohms is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Alexander was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 14 consecutive matches.

Alexander's record now sits at 15-3. As for River Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

Coming up, Alexander will challenge Meigs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for River Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Gallia Academy on the 29th.
