Volleyball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Scales Mound Hornets by a score of 2-1.

Riley Kinney paced Riverdale's offense, picking up seven kills. Kinney got some help from Abby Tisdale and her seven assists.

Campbell Hereau went supernova For Scales Mound., getting four digs and four aces. What's more, Hereau racked up 29 assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

Riverdale has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season. As for Scales Mound, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Riverdale has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Southwestern on the 4th. As for Scales Mound, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against East Dubuque on the 4th.
