Basketball Recap: Weir Piles Up the Points Against Oak Glen

After only 23 points in their last contest, Weir made sure to put some points up on the board against Oak Glen on Friday. The Weir Red Riders claimed a resounding 71-44 victory over the Oak Glen Golden Bears. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Red Riders had established a 21 point advantage.

Oak Glen lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Noah Willey, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Geisse, who put up nine points.

Weir moved to 4-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Oak Glen, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Weir wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 71-42 defeat against East Liverpool on the 28th. Oak Glen has also already played their next contest, a 73-56 loss against Toronto on the 28th.
