Softball Recap: North Pole Falls Short Against Ranked Delta

North Pole faced Delta in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Patriots came up short against the Huskies, falling 14-5. The Patriots' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Makaylin Malone was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

North Pole's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Delta, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, North Pole and Delta will both be playing Monroe Catholic the next time they take the field. The Patriots will host the Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Huskies will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
