Basketball Recap: Burncoat Triumphs

Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Burncoat Patriots beat the Wachusett Regional Mountaineers 60-55 on Friday.

Burncoat can attribute much of their success to Jaiden Johnston, who posted 18 points. The contest was Johnston's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Cameron Fenner was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Burncoat's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Wachusett Regional, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Burncoat will be home for the holidays to greet St. Paul at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wachusett Regional, they will venture away from home to face off against North at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
