Paramount won the last time they faced Bellflower and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pirates came out on top against the Buccaneers by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Paramount had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-10, 25-10, 25-20.

Several Buccaneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Danielle Dobens, who had eight digs and three aces.

Paramount's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Bellflower, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coming up, Paramount will challenge Dominguez at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bellflower, they will face off against Chadwick at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
