Christian Brothers Academy and Millburn squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Christian Brothers Academy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Millers by a score of 2-1. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Christian Brothers Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-12, 25-18.

Christian Brothers Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Nick Decina and Will Cusat. Decina had six aces, while Cusat had 11 digs and two assists.

Christian Brothers Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Millburn, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
