Softball Recap: Fayetteville Christian Takes a Loss

Fayetteville Christian was the 6-2 winner over Northwood Temple Academy when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Fayetteville Christian came up short against Northwood Temple Academy on Tuesday, falling 25-10. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Abigail Lagos stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Payten Simpson also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Fayetteville Christian's record now sits at 1-5. As for Northwood Temple Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Fayetteville Christian is taking a road trip to take on Freedom Christian Academy on Tuesday. As for Northwood Temple Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Scotland Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
