Softball Recap: Salem Tigers vs. Potosi Trojans

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Willow Springs, Salem was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Potosi Trojans as they made off with a 17-11 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by six runs or more this season.

Alaina Norris was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned (and eight unearned) runs off 12 hits. Norris was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Salem got a massive performance out of Reagan DuBois, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave DuBois a new career-high. Beatrice Hovey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Salem kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
