Volleyball Recap: Burbank's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Burbank waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Lanier Voks 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

Burbank not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lanier between 18 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-19.

Bethany Ximenez paced Burbank's offense, picking up 15 kills. Ximenez got some help from Maddalyn Maldonado and her 18 assists. Anjoli Barron controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Lanier lost, don't look at M'Alayshia Brown. Despite the final result, she had 13 assists.

Burbank's win bumped their record up to 19-16. As for Lanier, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-18.

Burbank has already played their next match (against Jefferson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lanier, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Brackenridge on the 17th.
