Softball Recap: Elysian Fields Comes Up Short

Elysian Fields was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 18-0 to the Beckville Bearcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 last Tuesday.

Elysian Fields saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Woodley, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Elysian Fields' loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Beckville, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-7-2.

Elysian Fields has already played their next matchup, a 16-11 win against Waskom on the 1st. As for Beckville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-0 victory against Carlisle on the 1st.
