Soccer Recap: Morgan County Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Morgan County won the last time they faced Westside and things went their way on Tuesday too. Morgan County's defense stepped up to hand Westside a 10-0 shutout. Given Morgan County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Westside are ranked 285th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Morgan County and bumps their season record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Westside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
