Football Recap: Dike-New Hartford Takes a Loss

Dike-New Hartford lost against Grundy Center back in November of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolverines were outmatched by the Spartans and fell 35-7. The loss put an end to the Wolverines' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dike-New Hartford fell to 2-1. As for Grundy Center, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Dike-New Hartford and Grundy Center should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. The Wolverines will square off against Oelwein at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (34 vs. 251). Meanwhile, Grundy Center (ranked first) will meet Garner-Hayfield/Ventura (ranked 186th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
