New Athens won against Marissa/Coulterville last Monday with 78 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The New Athens Yellow Jackets narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Woodlawn Cardinals 78-75. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Yellow Jackets have posted since January 31st.

New Athens is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.4 points over those games. Woodlawn is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-12.
