Soccer Game Preview: Everett Alvarez vs. North Salinas

The Everett Alvarez Eagles will challenge the North Salinas Vikings at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Everett Alvarez will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

If Everett Alvarez beats North Salinas with three goals on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Everett Alvarez skirted past Greenfield 3-2. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Bruins are ranked 412th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in January, North Salinas was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. They and Hollister finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw.

Everett Alvarez's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-0-2. North Salinas' draw makes their record 4-7-4 this season.
