Volleyball Recap: St. Henry Redskins vs. Versailles Tigers
St. Henry was the 3-0 winner over Versailles when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Redskins took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Tuesday.
The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 13-25, 25-15.
Karlee Buschur paced St. Henry's offense, picking up 12 kills. Buschur got some help from Addy Homan and her 30 assists. Olivia Gast controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Among those leading the charge was Lauren Prenger, who had eight digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September.
St. Henry's loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5. As for Versailles, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.
St. Henry and Versailles should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Redskins (ranked 16th) will meet Fort Recovery (ranked 303rd) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Versailles will challenge Marion Local at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (34 vs. 137).
