Lincoln Lutheran and Ashland-Greenwood squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lincoln Lutheran had to settle for second. They fell 54-47 to the Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Defeat or not, Lincoln Lutheran got some senior leadership from Grant Stowell and Jacob Duitsman. Stowell dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds, while Duitsman dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Stowell a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Holle, who posted seven points.

Lincoln Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 23-4. As for Ashland-Greenwood, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 22-5.

As for Ashland-Greenwood, they and Concordia will face off at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Concordia will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Ashland-Greenwood surely won't give up without a fight.
