Basketball Recap: Glastonbury Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Glastonbury extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from David Smith. Everything went the Glastonbury Guardians' way against the Tolland Eagles on Monday as the Glastonbury Guardians made off with a 72-52 win thanks in part to Smith, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 14 rebounds. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Mike Carroll, who posted eight points and five assists. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

Glastonbury's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39.5 points. As for Tolland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Glastonbury will take on East Hartford at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tolland, they will challenge Manchester at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
