Baseball Game Preview: East Ridge Knights vs. Lake Minneola Hawks

East Ridge hasn't had much luck against Lake Minneola recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Knights will challenge the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. East Ridge has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

East Ridge lost 12-2 to Mount Dora Christian Academy on Thursday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lake Minneola unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against Windermere, falling 9-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Hawks couldn't push the score so high this time.

Brady Montrowl was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lake Minneola saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddux Bultema, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

East Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Lake Minneola, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.

East Ridge might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Lake Minneola in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
