Baseball Game Preview: Timberline Wolves vs. Borah Lions

The Timberline Wolves will head out to take on the Borah Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Timberline will be strutting in after a victory while Borah will be coming in after a loss.

Timberline proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 14) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Boise. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolves have posted since March 19th.

Seth Dallolio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Stanley Jensen, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Timberline is undefeated when Jensen posts two or more stolen bases, but 6-9 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Borah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Ridgevue, falling 17-3.

Carson York made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Timberline has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for Borah, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.

Timberline couldn't quite get it done against Borah when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 3-0. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
