Softball Recap: Davenport Gets Their First "W"

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Davenport had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They skirted past the Carnegie Wildcats 2-1.

For Carnegie's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ebony Hayden, who went 1-for-2 while posting 1 run and 1 walk.

Davenport's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Carnegie, they moved to 22-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Davenport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carnegie, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-2 defeat against Elmore City-Pernell on the 29th.
