Basketball Recap: Ludlow Comes Up Short

Ludlow lost against Dixie Heights back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Ludlow Panthers were dealt a 64-23 defeat at the hands of the Dixie Heights Colonels. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-16.

Ludlow has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Dixie Heights, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Ludlow will square off against Newport Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dixie Heights, they will take on Lloyd Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Dixie Heights' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
