Basketball Game Preview: Coosa Eagles vs. Dade County Wolverines

Having just played yesterday, the Coosa Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Dade County Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Coosa ended up a good deal behind Fannin County and lost 59-44. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Dade County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 51-36 to Armuchee. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 434th, while the Indians are ranked 182nd).

Dade County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Coosa, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.

Coosa beat Dade County 36-28 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coosa since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
