Basketball Game Preview: Louisa County Lions vs. Eastern View Cyclones

The Louisa County Lions and the Eastern View Cyclones will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, Louisa County ended up a good deal behind Independence and lost 56-42. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lions came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Independence are ranked 273rd).

Meanwhile, Eastern View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 40-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fauquier.

Eastern View's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Louisa County, they dropped their record down to 4-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Louisa County was able to grind out a solid victory over Eastern View when the teams last played back in December of 2019, winning 54-47. Does Louisa County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eastern View turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
