Volleyball Recap: Centerville Comes Up Short

Centerville lost against Connersville last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Spartans, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered against the Spartans since September 12, 2022.

Centerville was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15, 25-23.

Centerville has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Connersville, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centerville will venture away from home to square off against Tri at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Connersville, they will square off against Franklin County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
