Soccer Recap: Ashbrook Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ashbrook was the 3-0 winner over North Gaston when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Greenwave fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Ashbrook couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of William Caro, which was the first he's scored this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Ashbrook and nudges their season record down to 1-10-1. As for North Gaston, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Coincidentally, Ashbrook and North Gaston will both be playing Kings Mountain the next time they take the pitch. The Wildcats will head out to face the Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Greenwave will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
