Baseball Recap: Eastmark Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Eastmark lost to Douglas back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Firebirds came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 4-1. Winning may never get old, but the Firebirds sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Matthew Kee made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Eastmark is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-12 otherwise. Kee was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.

In other batting news, Jayson Paulo was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Austin Snyder was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Eastmark's record is now 9-13. As for Douglas, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-9-1.

As of now, neither Eastmark nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
