Basketball Game Preview: Venice Gondoliers vs. Westchester Comets

Venice is 2-8 against Westchester since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Venice Gondoliers will host the Westchester Comets at 4:30 p.m. One thing working in Venice's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.

Venice will bounce into Friday's game after beating Fairfax, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Venice came out on top against Fairfax by a score of 62-51 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westchester). They claimed a resounding 93-35 victory over University. The win was nothing new for the Comets as they're now sitting on six straight.

Venice has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Westchester, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-9.
