Soccer Game Preview: Crockett vs. Westwood

The Crockett Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Westwood Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Crockett is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Crockett came up short against Hudson on Friday, falling 5-2. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Westwood made sure to put some goals up on the board against Trinity on Friday. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 5-0 win. The contest marked the Panthers' most dominant victory of the season.

Crockett's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Westwood, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 8-10.

Crockett beat Westwood by a goal in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crockett since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
